Educational Qualification

For DEO in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Culture & SSC: Must have passed 12th (Science stream) with Mathematics from a recognized board.
For LDC, JSA & Other DEO Posts: 12th pass (any stream) from a recognized board or university.
Note: Students appearing in 12th can apply, but must qualify before 01 Jan 2026.

Selection Process/Exam Pattern

The Computer-Based Exam will be held in two stages: Tier-I and Tier-II.
Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II based on Tier-I performance using normalized scores for merit and final selection.

🔹SSC Tier-I Syllabus ✅ English Language: Error spotting, fill in the blanks, synonyms/antonyms, idioms, voice & narration, sentence arrangement, comprehension, cloze test. ✅ General Intelligence: Verbal & non-verbal reasoning, analogies, classification, series, coding-decoding, puzzles, Venn diagrams, emotional/social intelligence. ✅ Quantitative Aptitude: Number System, Arithmetic: Percentages, profit-loss, averages, ratios, time & work. Algebra & Geometry: Identities, linear equations, triangles, circles. Mensuration & Trigonometry: Area, volume, heights-distances. Charts & Graphs: Bar, pie, histogram. ✅ General Awareness: Current affairs, history, culture, geography, economy, science, and policy – focused on India & neighbors. Note: VH candidates (40%+) exempted from maps, graphs, diagrams in certain sections. 🔹SSC Tier-II Syllabus ✅ Mathematical Abilities: Same as Tier-I but includes Statistics & Probability (mean, median, mode, SD, simple probability). ✅ Reasoning & Intelligence: Advanced verbal/non-verbal reasoning like folding patterns, symbolic logic, problem-solving. ✅ English Language & Comprehension: Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension passages (book/story + editorial based). ✅ General Awareness: Deeper focus on environment, society, science, and Indian & neighboring countries’ affairs. ✅ Computer Proficiency: Basics: CPU, memory, ports, Windows tools.
